Ella Buhlke

Coach Buhlke was a 3-sport athlete at Central City Senior High.  She was a 3-time Nebraska State Cross-Country qualifier and finished in the top 12 as a senior in 2021.  After the cancellation of the 2020 track season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ella competed in the 1600m at the Nebraska State Track Meet in 2021 and 2022.  Throughout her high school career, Ella also competed in the 800m, 3200m, 4x800m and 4x400m.  She holds the Central City School Records for the 5000m, average time per mile in a season (6:49), average time per mile in a career (7:07), number of races in a career (34), medals earned in a season (9), and total distanced raced in a career (105.6 miles).  She is currently a member of the University of Nebraska-Kearney Cross Country and Track and Field teams.  She was a vital part of the inaugural CCTC season, and we are thrilled she is able to continue coaching local youth athletes during her collegiate career.  Coach Buhlke is passionate about helping young athletes find joy in running as she has.
